I had my second OB check on Monday.  I was a little disappointed to find no ultrasound machine in the exam room, but I know it’s not typical to have one every visit.  She did get out her little machine to find the heartbeat though, and found it in about 3 seconds.  Strong and regular.  It’s so strange to hear a heartbeat in your belly that belongs to a totally different person.  My first thought was “Yep, it’s a Bruce!”  She made a comment that sometimes it’s hard to find right away because the baby moves around and it depends on the location.  Not with my baby.    I had to go back again Friday due to a bladder infection (yay for unexpected pregnancy side effects), and it took her a little longer to find it because it was in a different location.  Amazing that even this little the baby is moving around in my tummy. 

That’s right, we’re finally pregnant!  Well, again I should say.  But everything looks good this time.  I had an ultrasound on October 20^th and baby had a heartbeat, and everything has been going pretty well since.  My next ultrasound is Monday and by then he or she will actually look like a baby!  We’re due June 12^th and going through all the normal expectant-parent stuff from anxiety to excitement.  (Well, I am anyway.)  :)  I’ve been fairly lucky and haven’t had any major problems with morning sickness.  A few bouts of nausea here and there, but nothing unbearable.  I can’t wait for the new little Bruce to come into the world and meet all of you amazing people that mean so much to Dean and me.
